Upon this earth I have walked.
For my wings were tattered and torn.
And while I walked amongst these beings of darkness and light,
I noticed a child filled with anger and strife.
There was a regret that I knew would stir.
But I decided that I would take a chance on her.
So I took her small hand and I took her on a flight,
of blood and vengeance, and agony adore.
Yet there was something that grew in my soul,
was I falling in love with this girl?
Through the centuries I have gone,
without the romance upon my tongue,
so why should this century be any different?
Is it cause this girl is my savior?
Or perhaps she will be my demise,
maybe she knows how much I yearn for death,
or maybe she is the heaven that I once craved so young.
This girl will be my demise.
This girl will be my only love.
This girl will be my prodigy.
This girl will be my only laughter.
This girl...will be my daughter.
The devil can curse at me all he wants,
but I choose to love this child of tears and fury.
I choose to adore this child of pure shadow.
I just hope that I will rip her away from that light of God,
for she doesn't deserve to suffer under his eyes.
Only mine will she obey,
only mine will she learn to fear,
but only mine will she adore.
Yet..
she will be my demise.
For I fear her love will be my greatest fault.
But I choose to inhale her,
for she will teach me what my heart feared to encompass.
For maybe this love of hers will be my most beautiful emotion.
